Who We Can Accept

Because our rehearsal and performance venues have fixed capacity, Chorale CDA is capped at 125 singers.
Each semester we admit a limited number of new members based on voicing needs, with additional opportunities for small ensemble, quartet, duet, and occasional solo work.

  • New singers: A full audition is required.

  • Returning singers after an absence: Re-audition is generally expected unless waived by the Artistic Director or Section Leader.

What to Expect at an Audition

Nothing to prepare—just bring yourself and your voice.
This 10-minute vocal screening is supportive and straightforward. You’ll be guided through:

  1. Light warm-ups (tone, timbre, vocal weight)

  2. Range check (high/low) and agility

  3. A familiar song with a hymnal for reference (Amazing Grace or My Country ’Tis of Thee)

  4. Tonal memory patterns

  5. A short sight-reading excerpt

Auditions take place at Peace Lutheran Church, 8134 N Meyer Road, Post Falls, ID.
